Ecological Grief Gathering
In response to the recent devastating bushfires, Tobin Brothers Funerals' Art for the Heart is offering a space at the Art for the Heart exhibition for people to gather to creatively process their grief and loss, understand their fears and to honour their love of the natural environment.
We would like to invite people to join a consultation group for the creation of this ecological grief space. This group will be given the opportunity to process their own grief while simultaneously making a place where others will be able to express, connect, create, take action or just be with their grief.
The consultation group will gather at Tobin Brothers Funerals in North Melbourne, to workshop and plan the ideas and strategies for implementation. Numbers will be limited so please make sure you are able to commit to attend both meetings and be available to support the space in some way during the exhibition.
This group and exhibition space will be facilitated and curated by Samantha Rennie, Tobin Brothers Community Support Manager. Samantha has been working in the field of grief and loss for over 10 years and uses her training as a facilitator, art teacher and nurse to create active grief processes that assists transition and healing.
