Funeral Vehicles: Comfort, Luxury, and Accessibility

When planning a funeral, the choice of vehicles is often overlooked but can play a significant role in the overall experience.

Funeral vehicles, including hearses and mourning coaches, not only serve practical purposes but also add a touch of dignity and respect to the proceedings.

In our metropolitan branches, we provide one hearse in our standard service offering with other vehicles available at additional cost. Our regional services include a hearse to cater to the specific needs of those areas. Each vehicle is maintained to the highest standards, with daily cleaning to ensure they are always in pristine condition.

We can also accommodate other choices, be it through external hire or incorporating personal vehicles into the service.

At Tobin Brothers, we believe in truly celebrating the lives of our loved ones, and personalisation is an important aspect in honouring the individual for who they were.

The selection of vehicles used throughout a funeral service is a personal choice, so don’t hesitate to let your Funeral Planner know if you have something else in mind.

A sleek and modern vehicle used for transporting the deceased. It is designed to reflect dignity and respect, ensuring a fitting farewell.

The Hearse

As this article is about funeral cars and the Tobin Brothers Fleet, the hearse is a natural starting point.

The hearse is the most iconic funeral vehicle, used to transport the deceased from the funeral home to the service and final resting place.

Our fleet includes several types of hearses, including a Harley hearse with a coffin side-car, providing a unique and memorable touch to the procession.

Each hearse is meticulously cleaned every morning, ensuring it looks immaculate for the service.

Standard Mourning Coach

The Chrysler 300C is an iconic vehicle, exuding class and style, and making our Standard Mourning Coach far from “standard”.

Air conditioned and spacious, the Standard Mourning Coach offers comfort and privacy, giving you a quiet space to take pause while travelling during the service.

With modern features and stringent maintenance and upkeep, you can expect accessibility, safety and comfort from any of our fleet.

In Metropolitan Melbourne, our Standard Mourning Coach is included in our service fees along with the hearse.

Premium Mourning Coach

For the comfort of family and close friends, our standard mourning coach seats up to seven passengers and includes space for a walker or other large items.

As well as being a stylish and practical funeral vehicle, the Premium Morning Coach is ideal for those with mobility issues or families who prefer to stay together throughout the service.

The Premium Mourning Coach boasts luxury features such as plush seating, ample legroom, and climate control, ensuring a comfortable ride.

This luxurious vehicle seats seven passengers, includes space for mobility aids like walkers, and features high-end finishes and plush seating for maximum comfort.

Family Funeral Coach

For larger groups, our funeral bus provides ample seating and comfort, allowing extended family and friends to travel together.

Our unique Family Funeral Coach is a custom-built funeral vehicle, which allows up to 10 people to travel together for the funeral service.

Families can opt to travel with the coffin onboard, or have the coffin travel separately in a hearse.

This truly unique funeral vehicle also offers the highest level of comfort, featuring leather seating, tinted windows, climate control and automatic steps for safety and ease of access.
