About Remembering Our Angels
An annual service for parents, families and friends who have been touched by the loss of a baby or child.
About Remembering our Angels
Tobin Brothers Funerals’ Remembering our Angels services are held annually and are open to anyone who is grieving the loss of a baby or child.
We are committed to providing families support throughout their journey of loss, and the we provide these services free of charge with the aim of providing a safe space for to remember their loved one and create new memories in their honour.
What you can expect at an ROA service?
Our Remembering our Angels services help families to remember a child or infant they have lost, meet other families who have experienced similar circumstances, and gives them an opportunity they might not otherwise have to create new memories around their loved one.
Attendees are invited to include and family, friends or support people they would like present at the event.
You may choose to bring with you a photo or special item in honour of your loved one.
We often include interactive elements to the event, for example, our 2023 Bush Wanderings event saw families personalise a felt gum leaf with their baby or child’s name and add decorations, and our 2022 Forever Young service included a candle lighting ceremony and the option for families to display a photo or memento of their child.
Our experienced staff will help to guide you through the event, and are on hand to provide support at any time should you need it.
These services are not faith based, and you are encouraged to participate only to your degree of comfort.
"Each year, Remembering Our Angels give us the opportunity to come together as a family to remember our daughter."

Making an Alter for your Loved one
- Listen to the feelings inside you and let the love guide you. Great things that help millions of people come from grief. Let the love for your child move you.
- Light a candle, place a photo, and keep an altar, somewhere where you can sit and talk or just be with them. Like you would with any child. You can let them go out of your sight and then you have times when they are there again
- As you sit see what inspiration or insights come. Children have an amazing way of helping us see things with such clarity.
- Love may look like starting a charity or raising money for one.
- Creating a garden, building something, making something.
- Creating an event, throwing a party, holding a ceremony.
- Love may look like poetry or writing, speaking, walking, time alone, time being busy, cooking, sewing, singing.
- Love may look like joining a support group online, on Facebook or in person. Being part of a group where everyone can talk freely about their child with all the love they want.
