Fundraising and Donations

Tobin Brothers Funerals made a founding donation of $25,000 to establish the Tobin Brothers Foundation. The Trustees of the Tobin Brothers Foundation have continued to contribute funds each year through a variety of fundraising activities.

The Foundation hosts an annual fundraising event featuring dinner, dancing, entertainment, raffles and a blind auction – always filled with fun and community spirit.

In addition to the event, the Foundation gratefully accepts donations from members of the public, client families and businesses.

All funds raised are distributed to award recipients in the following year, supporting meaningful initiatives within the community.

The first funeral conducted by Tobin Brothers Funerals was for Ena Margaret Price in 1934. In its first year, the company conducted 53 funerals and after the payment of creditors and the collection of debts, it made a modest profit.
