Tobin Brothers are here to help

Tobin Brothers will assist you in your time of need in a range of unique ways

The importance of a Funeral

Funerals are an important time for family and friends to come together as a community to express our love and process our thoughts and feelings about the death of someone we love. The funeral ceremony helps us acknowledge the reality of the death and honour the life of the person who has died. Participating in a funeral physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually can assist greatly in the grief journey.

At Tobin Brothers we understand the importance of a funeral that is truly fitting and unique for your loved one. We offer a range of solutions to cater for your needs in this current climate and we are now able to offer online funerals to ensure the celebration of your loved one is possible, under any circumstance.

We want to assure families that Tobin Brothers are here to help. We offer a range of very practical solutions, to bring your family and friends together and personalise a fitting service for your loved one.

Memory Maker App

Tobin Brothers offers our FREE Memory Maker app for smart phones, a simple way to plan everything in the privacy of your own home and receive a complete fee proposal.

Memory Maker has been developed with the same level of care and professionalism you’ve come to expect from Tobin Brothers. After downloading the Memory Maker App through the iTunes store, or Google Play, you will be guided through every step of the planning process. Every aspect of the funeral can be customised and compared from coffins and caskets, to flowers and celebrants or clergy. You will create a complete plan that covers all the functional aspects of a funeral but still reflects the unique life lived.

Expanding on our original Memory Maker app (2011), the app now includes the world first Build Your Own Coffin or Casket feature. This allows family members to individualise the design by choosing from a large range of shapes, colours, handles, drapery and floral arrangements to match.

“Everybody is unique and their tastes are also unique. People like different things in fashion and decorations. Why should it be any different for a coffin or casket? That’s why we’ve designed the Tobin Brothers build your own coffin or casket”

Creating your funeral plan in your own home means that you can step through the options with your family or friends, pressure free. As always, we pride ourselves on our transparency, and at the end of the planning process you will be presented with a comprehensive funeral fee proposal for consideration. If you prefer, you can call and speak to one of our consultants directly.

Video and Phonecall meetings with our Funeral Planners

When the time comes to arrange the funeral, our Funeral Planners will sit and talk with you and your family in person, or via phone or video call (via video conferencing apps). These apps are free to use and our staff will guide you through the process before arranging the meeting with you.

The phone or video call with one of our Funeral Planners will be a virtual meeting, with our staff spending just as much time with you as they would have in person, to talk to you about the funeral arrangements, guide you through all the available options and plan the perfect send off.

Online Funerals

Tobin Brothers continue to offer our families the full range of coffins, caskets, floral tributes and many other personalisation options to celebrate the life of your loved one. We have our celebrated moments coffins which can be wrapped in a collage of photos or an image that reflects their personality.

We able to incorporate personal items into the funeral service such as photos, football scarves and balls, skateboards, surfboards, balloons, soft toys, flowers…whatever you can think of, to really capture their personality and honour their life.

Using our pre-existing phone a tribute service, families and friends are able to pre-record a video or audio eulogy or message to be played at the funeral.

Webcasting

We offer fully webcasted services so that anyone who cannot attend the funeral can still view the service and participate.

Webcasting is where a funeral or memorial service is streamed (broadcasted) live over the internet. Using the latest technology Tobin Brothers can telecast a funeral service live via our website.

When family or friends are unable to attend a funeral service, a funeral webcast is a logical alternative as it enables absent mourners the opportunity to view and hear the funeral live from anywhere in the world.

We can webcast from all of our Tobin Brothers’ conveniently located Chapels throughout Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and Echuca as well as any other location provided it is within range of wireless internet access.

Funeral Tribute Pages

Family and friends are also able to interact with the Tobin Brothers Funeral Tributes pages specifically created with your loved ones Funeral Notice, Service Details and Webcast. These pages also feature a Tribute Wall where you can share memories and photos, leave condolences, light a virtual candle or even send food to comfort the family.

“Our philosophy at Tobin Brothers is very simple. If it’s legal, it’s possible and we will help you make it happen”

Founded in 1934

The first funeral conducted by Tobin Brothers Funerals was for Ena Margaret Price in 1934. In its first year, the company conducted 53 funerals and after the payment of creditors and the collection of debts, it made a modest profit.
