Celebrating Dads : Online Fathers' Day Event

Free Online Event designed to offer comfort

On Fathers’ Day, 6th September 2020, Tobin Brothers Funerals hosted an online only Fathers’ Day Service, designed to offer comfort to anyone who is bereaved or isolated from their father. 

As part of the service, Denis Walter performed some moving tributes.

We also invited participants to share a photo or memory of their father on the dedicated Tribute Wall. You may wish to also share a poem or your dad’s favourite ‘Dad joke’ on this page this year, or in years to come, to bring you comfort and connection.

Founded in 1934

The first funeral conducted by Tobin Brothers Funerals was for Ena Margaret Price in 1934. In its first year, the company conducted 53 funerals and after the payment of creditors and the collection of debts, it made a modest profit.
