Each International Women’s Day from 2020-2022, we took you on a journey into the lives and careers of the passionate, caring and dedicated women that help create and shape the Tobin Brothers community.
Throughout the following videos, this series will be exploring every aspect of this essential and often misunderstood field, from our board of directors to our embalmers, as we showcase and recognise the hard-working women who are making their mark within a previously male-dominated industry.
Wendy Goy - Training and Human Resources Manager

Brydie Hull - Senior Co-Ordinator
This International Women’s Day, we hear from Brydie hull, who is continuing her family legacy after 4 generations in the funeral industry, and has become the first female of her generation to join Tobin Brothers.
Bridging the gap between staff and client families, Brydie’s position as Senior Co-ordinator and then as Funeral Advice Line Manager often requires her to call upon her skills as an empathetic person to empower her colleagues and help to manage the emotional fatigue of those around her.

Continuing our International Women’s Day series, we meet Aneka, an embalmer with Tobin Brothers. Aneka does a series of tasks to ensure the body is ready for funerals and utilising embalming and restorative arts, among others to help families behind the scenes.

For International Women’s Day, we are celebrating Frances Tobin. Frances is a passionate leader who regularly inspires those around her.
Frances Tobin Funerals by Women was the first company in Melbourne to provide funeral services exclusively by women, and Frances has helped grow this initiative since its beginnings.
Donna Jenkins - Executive Assistant
After 26 years with Tobin Brothers, Executive Assistant Donna is instrumental to keeping Tobin Brothers running smoothly behind the scenes and she is one of the ideal people for us to celebrate for International Women’s Day.
Over her time with Tobin Brothers, Donna has seen the company grow and change to become an organisation where women make up 50% of staff and undertake roles that were previously reserved for men.
