Episode 2: The Conclave and Pope Leo XIV

After exploring the life and influence of Pope Francis in our opening episode, we now shift focus to the historic transition that followed.

In this episode, we examine the conclave and the path to the papacy of Pope Leo XIV.

Presented by Paul Hooper on behalf of Tobin Brothers Funerals, guest host Terry Laidler is joined by a distinguished panel:

• Writer and church historian Dr Paul Collins
• Most Rev Joe Caddy AM, Bishop of Cairns
• Br Mark O’Connor FMS, Vicar for Communications for the Diocese of Parramatta
• Dr Scott Burchill, Honorary Fellow at Deakin University’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Together, they share rich insights and personal reflections on the inner workings of the conclave, offering thoughtful commentary on the election of a new pope and what it may mean for the future of the Church.
