TOBIN BROTHERS #SAYITNOW WEEK MARCH 15 - 21

Official Media Release for Tobin Brothers #SayItNow initiative – ten year anniversary!

#SayItNow Week 2026

Australians young and old are being encouraged to celebrate the important people in their lives during Tobin Brothers Funerals’ annual initiative, #SayItNow, this year is the 10th anniversary! From the 15th through to the 21st of March 2026.

Founded in 2016 and celebrating its 10th year, #SayItNow is designed to inspire people to reach out to those they love and tell them how they really feel about them.

Whether it’s a family member, an old friend, or someone who was influential in their lives, Tobin Brothers is urging people to use #SayItNow to tell that special person about the impact they’ve had on their life and what they mean to them.

As busy lives, distance and distraction increasingly get in the way, Australians are being gently reminded to say the things that truly matter, while they still can.

From 15 to 21st March, Tobin Brothers Funerals is inviting people across the country to take part in its annual #SayItNow initiative, a community initiative that encourages open, meaningful conversations with the people we care about most. Now celebrating its 10 year, #SayItNow is centred on a simple but powerful message: donʼt leave important words unsaid. Whether itʼs gratitude, forgiveness, love or appreciation, the initiative highlights how small conversations can have a lasting impact.

Ambassadors

Tobin Brothers enlists the help of some of Australia’s most inspiring personalities who act as ambassadors for #SayItNow and share their stories and their appreciation for those they love in an effort to encourage others to do the same.

Share how you feel before it's too late

James MacLeod OAM, Managing Director of Tobin Brothers Funerals, says the message comes directly from what families often reflect on in moments of loss. “Time and again, we hear families say they wish they had said something sooner. #SayItNow is about empowering people to have those conversations while they have the chance, not in moments of regret.ˮ Mr MacLeod said.

"Too often, our people have witnessed the heartache suffered by families and friends who did not have an opportunity to acknowledge the impact a loved one has had on their life before they died. We felt compelled to develop #SayItNow week as a way of reminding people not to wait until it’s too late to express your thoughts and feelings to the people around you."

This initiative takes a hopeful and practical approach to expressing our gratitude for people while they are still around to hear it, encouraging Australians to begin meaningful conversations today – in ways that feel natural and genuine to them.

“#SayItNow isn’t about finding the perfect words,” Mr MacLeod said. “It’s about taking the first step. A phone call, a message or a moment of honesty can make all the difference.”

Australians are invited to follow the initiative online and join the conversation by sharing their own reflections using #SayItNow.
