Eddy passed away peacefully on Thursday, 19 June 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of Dianne for over 50 years.

Deeply loved father of Simon, Andrew and Julia.

Cherished father-in-law of Lucy, Amanda and Dean and proud Nonno to his adoring grandchildren, Zara, Roman, Sienna, Emilia, Sebastian and Xavier.

 

Eddy was a man of strength, generosity and integrity.  A devoted family man, trusted mentor, respected businessman, passionate outdoorsman and lifelong lover of Italian engineering and craftsmanship. From founding Forstaff in 1981 to leading DFP with pride until his retirement Eddy’s career was marked by vision, determination and an unwavering work ethic.

He lived a full life, rich with purpose, love and adventure. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

 

Funeral Mass for Eddy Bidese will be offered at St. Michael’s Church,
268 High Street, Ashburton on Friday 27th June, 2025 at 1.00 pm.

 

A private cremation will follow.

 

In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of Eddy can be made to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation at www.acrf.com.au
